Three Reasons to Visit Your Fitness Club This Week

Are your pants feeling a bit snug? Or are you having more trouble standing up from the sofa than you’d like?

People like you have heard the news about the importance of being healthy. Maybe your doctor has even brought this to your attention. In 2018, CDC statistics showed that only 23% of adults in the U.S. get enough exercise.

Before your doctor gives you “the talk” again this year, take action to make healthy changes for you and your family. It’s better to be proactive than too late. Less than 5% of adults get 30 minutes of physical exercise every day. You can be an exception to this statistic.

Here are three reasons to visit your fitness club regularly:

  1. You will feel great by taking care of yourself. Have you been putting off your workout because you are feeling a little stiff or sore? Your fitness club offers sports and physical therapy for injuries. And deep tissue massage is a beautiful way to treat yourself. It also helps to maintain your flexibility and help your muscles recover from exercise. You may also want to try out aquatic therapy. Our point is: it can be enjoyable to exercise and take care of yourself.
  2. You can set a good example. Think about setting a good example for your child. Today, less than one-third of children reach the Sports and Fitness Industry Association’s classification of “active to a healthy level,” which is just 25 minutes of high-calorie-burning physical activity three times a week. The kids need more exercise, too!
  3. Enroll in a fitness class. Another incentive that works to get you to the fitness club every time? Enrolling in a fitness class. 36% of all regular exercisers participate in some kind of fitness class. Maybe committing to be there for class is the reason?

Families that play together stay together, and your family can make the trip to the fitness club together a cool change from watching tv. Most of all, keep it fun.

Do you need some ideas? Choose a fitness club with classes or facilities for kids. When school is out, they can enroll in the club’s summer camp. Take advantage of summer to help your kids keep active and doing something exciting.

Schedule a regular time for the entire family to visit the fitness club. You won’t have any trouble finding a fitness club near you. There are more than 180,000 fitness clubs around the world. Easy, right?

You are probably thinking, “how am I possibly going to make time?” No worries. Start this new habit by scheduling it into your routine and be prepared to slip up and miss one or two times. That’s okay; you’ll get there! Once it’s become a fixture in your routine, you’ll see how easy it is to make it a regular part of your weekly schedule.

You’ll be a whole new family!
