Getting ready for your wedding is intimidating. The fact is that, though your wedding is obviously about your love and your future, everyone wants to put their best foot forward! This often means that we end up spending a lot of time on the look and appearance of our weddings. One could even say that it’s become something of a competitive sport — and though you won’t want your wedding planning to get out of control, this is the only time in a woman’s life when she’ll be the center of attention completely. You could call it your “queen for a day” moment. Since all eyes will be on you, it’s important to develop a pre wedding beauty regime.

There are many different components that can go into your “wedding look”. It’s not just about your bridal jewelry. In fact, a lot of people in this day and age focus on different aspects of their wedding appearances than the jewelry. This is in part because jewelry can get somewhat out of control if you don’t catch yourself. One minute, you may be considering the perfect teardrop pearl earrings. The next, you’re breaking the bank on a diamond bracelet that you never really considered before! Of course, you can look into jewelry financing to help pay for your wedding jewelry. But it’s very possible that you’ll only wear this jewelry once. There are other ways that you can invest in your appearance that are either less expensive, or more long-lasting. You’ll already be spending quite a bit on the wedding as is, mind you. Things like the dress, the venue, and the food can add up. But whether you’re getting married on the beach or in church, you’ll want to look your very best. Let’s look into some of the steps you can take to build a pre wedding beauty plan and ensure that you look like the queen you are on your wedding day!

The Wedding Diet

If you change up your diet prior to your wedding, you certainly won’t be the only bride to do so. It’s quite normal for brides to change up their diets to lose a few pounds before fitting into their wedding dresses. But keep in mind that if you do so in a healthy way, you can keep the weight off, while at the same time making yourself much healthier than you would be otherwise! Keeping a healthy diet in the days leading up to your wedding — which will invariably be stressful — will not only help you trim down, but hopefully make it easier for you to feel good and relax.

One of the best ways that you can change your diet is simply adding more greens into it. Now, it’s understandable if you aren’t necessarily the biggest fan of vegetables, and don’t want to add them to your pre wedding beauty plan. But there are ways that you can re-dress greens, to make them more palatable. For example, adding organic micro greens to a meal can switch it up, giving it a more appealing look and giving you a bit more in terms of nutritional value, without changing the flavor too much. Of course, you may end up loving the micro greens; though they were once seen as garnishes more than anything, they have now taken center stage as a vital part of many meals.

Going organic, in general, can be a great way of boosting your energy and cleaning up your diet as you plan your wedding. Many people find that they can skip some of the trial and error of locating organic food at a typical grocery stood by going to a farmers’ market. Not only will you find the organic food you want there — you can also help small business owners sustain their families! Keep in mind that your pre wedding beauty plan doesn’t have to be a temporary part of your lifestyle, but something that you keep up after your wedding as well. Going organic is a simple way in which you can change your life for the better.

Of course, you may find that you want to change your diet in a bigger way leading up to your wedding day. Many brides find that their wedding planning period is a transitional time. This makes sense; you’re getting ready to become a wife, and launch a new stage of life. It really may not be a better time to try new things, and see if you want to incorporate them permanently into your “married” lifestyle. Consider Meatless Mondays, for example. Many find that cutting down on meat and upping their vegetables improves not only their physical health, but their mental health as well. Furthermore, doing it in this gradual way is easier on a lot of people, and less stressful and drastic than cutting meat entirely from their diets. Keep in mind that your pre wedding beauty regime may involve some trial and error. Not all of these things are necessarily going to work for you. But if they do, great — keep it up and try to make it a part of your life.

The Wedding Workout

Brides are somewhat famous for becoming fanatical about their pre wedding beauty regime exercise routines. You’ll want to make sure that whatever you do to exercise, it is healthy and safe for you and your specific needs. It’s a good idea to consult with a personal trainer if you can — but to be honest, not everyone gets the exercise they need through traditional workouts. You may very well want to indulge in your favorite sport. If you like to play basketball, maybe play a bit more as you plan your wedding. If you prefer to play golf, get out there and exercise by playing golf on a regular basis.

Of course, you may also want to make the same sort of lifestyle changes we discussed above, this time focusing more on exercise than diet (as the two tend to go hand in hand). Swimming is a fantastic way to get exercise without even really feeling it. A lot of people find that the resistance of the water helps them lose weight and gain muscle definition. If you’re really interested in becoming a stronger swimmer, and making swimming a big part of your life moving forward, you may want to contact a pool contractor as you build towards your wedding. Perhaps a part of starting your new life with your spouse could involve a lap pool on your property!

Eve if you decide against that kind of big step, you’ll still want to consider picking up an exercise routine. This could involve going to your local YMCA; it could entail picking up a membership at a gym or fitness club of some kind. Even taking regular walks around the neighborhood can help you exercise, get healthier, and get fitter. Keep in mind that in order to see the kind of results that you’ll want, you will most likely need to spend at least an hour a day exercising. A lot of people find that having a regular fitness plan helps them stick to the amount of exercise that they need. Another thing you may want to consider is simply adding to your repertoire of workout equipment, especially if you have enough space for it in your house. Keep in mind that it can be difficult to keep up with the exercises that you’ll need if you get bored with them. Change up the variety in your workouts, and you’ll be more likely to get results across your whole body, and much faster than you would if you stuck to the same routine every single day.

Little Extras Here And There

While some parts of your pre wedding beauty plan can involve long term changes, you may want to go the extra mile in regards to certain “add ons” or beauty treatments. For example, a lot of women find themselves going the extra mile when it comes to their hair before their wedding days. Say the worst happens and find you find yourself with a bad haircut not long before your wedding. Don’t stress about it! Now more than ever would be the time to consider hair extensions. Hair extensions can also be considered to add length to already long hair, which can be perfect for a truly dramatic look. Keep in mind, however, that you won’t want to skimp on your extensions. Don’t settle for bargain extensions that could — in the worst case scenario for any bride — fall out on your wedding day. As with any part of your wedding appearance, you’ll want to invest in something that will give you the results you want, and perform flawlessly on the big day. You may also want to consider having your hair colored prior to your wedding. You won’t want to experiment overmuch; for one thing, you still want to look like yourself, and for another, some looks are easier to fix than others if they go awry. On that note, make sure to give yourself some time for trial and error, and don’t try to dye your hair the night before your wedding!

Another thing you may want to look into is having dental work done before your wedding. Everyone is going to be looking at your smile; not just on the day of your wedding, but in all of the photos afterward. Your smile will convey not only how happy you are, but the degree to which you took the time to create the perfect appearance and pre wedding beauty plan. Of course, you may already be blessed with perfect teeth. However, sprucing them up a bit before the wedding won’t hurt! Consider using a plaque removal dental gel before the wedding, just to go the extra mile. This will give you a bit of added confidence in your smile, even if it’s already exactly what you want it to be.

With that being said, it could also be a good idea, if you’re less than comfortable with your teeth, to consider cosmetic dentistry. While cosmetic dentistry was once considered somewhat unobtainable by many, and certainly a bit of a reach for some budgets, this has changed over time. It’s much more common in this day and age for the average person to get cosmetic dentistry procedures done, even in their adult lives. Again, this is something you would want to begin a good while before the wedding — perhaps soon after the engagement. This way, the procedure can be finished before your big day. But incorporating cosmetic dentistry into your pre wedding beauty plans could be a way of permanently fixing an issue that has caused you to be insecure throughout your lifetime. After all — 99.7% of people claim that an attractive smile is an important personal asset.

With that being said, some cosmetic dental procedures are easier to incorporate into your pre wedding beauty plan than others. Invisalign braces, for example, accomplish the same goals as regular braces — that is, straightening or moving your teeth — but are not visible to the naked eye. If you want to have the best results possible before your wedding day, you should start them well in advance. However, you can still get the results you want over time, and don’t have to worry about your braces showing due to their “invisible” qualities. Another procedure you may want to consider is porcelain veneers. Veneers are not meant to “correct” your teeth, but go on over them, creating a flawless appearance that would be perfect, and easy to add, for your wedding day!

Nobody can deny that pre wedding beauty plans can be stressful to make. But one of the best ways to approach a pre wedding beauty plan is to simply take a targeted approach. Know that you’re concentrating on your diet, exercise, and a few specific details that could greatly improve your appearance before your wedding — and your pre wedding beauty plan will come together in a cinch. But keep in mind that your wedding is for you and your partner, not anyone else. Be happy — you’re getting married! Let your big day be all that you’ve been dreaming of.

As you focus on your appearance for your big day, it can be easy to forget some of the other details of a wedding. While you are planning you probably already have purchased diamond engagement rings for her. There will be no need to go into stores and browse engagement rings, not after she has already said yes. But what do you need to look for after nice diamond engagement rings? The answer is the wedding band.

Shop wedding bands

During the ceremony you will be asked to place a wedding band on the finger of your betrothed. So much attention is paid to nice diamond engagement rings, needing to shop wedding bands is almost an afterthought. Some thought does need to go into it though. Having a matching wedding band with ring creates an elegant look that symbolizes the commitment you’ve made to each other. And, as an added benefit, you can shop wedding bands together. The element of surprise is not there, so go ahead and make this a couple’s errand to shop wedding bands.

With all you have to plan and prepare for, remember to take the time to find a wedding band with ring combination that will feel right for the rest of your life.
