River to Ridge Run

2012  River to Ridge 10 Mile Trail Run 

 

This year’s race will be on Saturday June 2nd  at 8am.  This is National Trails Day!

We are proud to announce St. Mary’s Medical Center as the primary sponsor!

New this year will also be a 4 mile trail run which we adding.   This will be the first 4 miles of the 1o miler.  For those  who have done this before  the first 4 loops back to the lake and then will go along the river trail for 3 miles before returning to the hills and then to the finish.  We will use the first 4 now as a separate race for those who are interested in trying a trail run but might be intimidated by the 10 mile distance.

All runners and walkers will receive a race shirt.

The race is in beautiful Barboursville Park.  The trails are well marked.   Most of the trails are dirt.  There will be 2 or 3 water / aid stations.

The price is $25 on-line or with paper applications that will be available soon at Jeff’s Bicycle Shop or Robert’s Running Shoe Store.    The price is $30 on the day of the race (or on-line after May 26th).

Awards will be for the top 3 overall male and female in age groups which will probably be every 10 years.

Raffle prizes will be awarded after the race finishes.
